Fred
Enke Golf Course
This
golf course was created in 1983. Due to its design, it offers
to golfers a different but interesting approach and rich in challenges.
The main characteristic of the course is its spacious departures
era, its wide greens, its strategic bunkers and sand traps and
especially its concept of semi-arid course limited in lawn. Indeed,
the herb is only used on tees, landing erae for balls, greens,
decorated in these zones by plantations of origin. Players can
choose at their choice four different departures. The ground being
rather hilly, the carriage is advised.
Green fees:
Golf course 18 holes: from $14 to $32
Golf course 9 holes: from $9 to $17

Arizona, in front of magnificent points of view. It proposes 428

The Cañada Course
|
With a set of 45 holes, El Conquistador is
the biggest golf resort in the South of Arizona, as well as the
most spectacular one. The magnificent points of view on the Santa
Catalina mountains and on the Tucson valley makes the stay at
the resort an unforgettable experience of golf.
Every golf course, the Conquistador and the Cañada,
brings a challenge to players of any level, especially since the
$2 million renovation made by the architect Greg Nash. The Conquistador
is an exceptionally playable golf course, where the desert rarely
comes into play. The Cañada, who possesses
the charm of the popular desert golf courses, asks for a good
strategy and the use of all the clubs.
Surrounding the resort, is the third golf course 9 holes not very
known: The Pusch Ridge Course. The departures
as well as the greens are raised and the fairways are sloping
. The arrangement really benefits from ravines, rocky formations
and vegetations of the desert, what brings a good challenge to
all players.

Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa
The Resort:
This
resort is situated at the feet of the Santa Catalina mountains,
near Tohono Chul Park, Casas Adobes, the Fort Lowell Historic
District, University of Arizona, Tucson Botanical Gardens and
Tucson Mountain County Park. It is composed by a set of rooms
and luxury suites with a king size bed and all of them are full
equipped. At disposal: restaurants, swimming pools, conference
center, spa of European style, fitness center, lit sports complex
including tennis courts and courts of basketball and volleyball,

The golf:
The
resort, which welcomed PGA tournaments in particular the PGA Tucson
Open Golf Tournament, possesses three international golf courses
9 holes: the Orange Course, the Gold
Course and the Green Course. The first
two golf courses were drawn by Robert Van Hagge and Bruce Devlin.
At them two they represent the golf course 18 holes played by
the PGA professionals. They are relatively opened and slightly
by-passed.
The Green Course, which was added in 1982, possesses
sometimes rather stiff rise changes, offering opportunities of
game which we rarely find in Tucson. From his lengthened fairways,
it offers magnificent points of view on the natural beauty of
the Sonoran desert. At disposal: golf shop, driving range, training
area for putting, pitching, with bunkers. Golf lessons are also
proposed by professionals.

Raven
Golf Club at Sabino Springs
Nested
at the feet of the Santa Catalina mountains, the golf course 18
holes which was drawn by Robert Trent Jones follows the natural
chaotic relief of the ground, through indented rocky formations
and a forest of giant saguaros. It possesses high departures and
difficult holes in height, as well as greens well kept by bunkers.
All of that asks for a good directory of shots. The golf course
was classified 7th in the category " Best New Upscale Courses
" in 1996 by Golf Digest. It was also classified 11th "
Best in State " in 1997-98 and 76th in the category "
Top 100 Journeys You Can Play in the U.S. " by Golf Magazine
in 1998. It is allowed to walk on the golf course, however given
that its arrangement is mountainous, it is recommended to use
a carriage. The club house offers at disposal a grill restaurant
and a bar, wardrobes, rent of material, driving range and golf
lessons.

Randolph
Golf Courses

Drawn by William P. Bell, the North course of
Randolph is the site where takes place the PING/Welch’s
LPGA. It also welcomed the LPGA's Welch. Making a 6400 meter length,
it combines an ideal, long and short mixture of holes for a round
which is fun. The course contains a good number of impressive
trees, green fairways and magnificent sight on the surrounding
Tucson mountains. It also contains water traps on 5 holes, long
fairways and three sports holes which were reorganized. These
last ones were reconstructed on the PGA's recommendations to highlight
the course and to give more challenges to the professional players.
The club house offers at disposal a set of complet services.
The Dell Urich course ( South
course) also drawn by William F. Bell, opened in spring, 1966.
This new Par-70 is long from 4818 to 6065 meters according to
the respective departures. Golfers will appreciate the spectacular
shots from the departures, as well as the changes of rise.

Rio
Golf Course
The
Rio course, which dates the 30s, was the first to welcome the
Tucson Open. It worked like a Country Club until 1968, date in
which the city of Tucson bought it to make it accessible to the
public. Established on a relatively flat ground, its arrangement
contains narrow fairways, small greens, two lakes and numerous
trees. Measuring from 5486 to 5852 meters, it is ideal for the
" short knocker ". The club house offers at disposal
a set of complet services.

Measuring 5760 metres from the championship departures, the ground
is altogether rather flat. The club house offers at disposal a

Golf
Club at Vistoso
Drawn
by Tom Weiskopf, this golf course Par-72 is situated in a magnificent
environment with magnificent sights on the Catalina's mountains.
It measures 6338 metres for championships and good players, and
4722 metres for women and children. However, it is the most expensive
of Tucson. Because of its high rates, we could expect to find
in the club house a set of quality services, but it is not really
the case. The clubhouse, rather small, does not propose either
wardrobes, or a real deserving restaurant. The club does not possess
either of driving range. However, in 1999 the course was classified
by Golf Digest "Best Course in Tucson" and the third
best public course of Arizona, what is nevertheless a proof of
quality.
Green fees:
Golf course 18 holes: from $45 to $159,
According to the season and the days of the week.
