Kiahuna Golf
Drawn
by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the golf course is situated on the
domain of a former village, around 4 protected archeological sites.
The architect knew how to integrate the natural ability of the
place as well as the present historic vestiges. Of a style Links
it makes a total length of 6353 metres. It takes place on a hilly
ground and possesses wide and waving greens, 70 deep bunkers and
rocky zones decorated with tropical flowers. Another present challenge:
the wind. Associated to the hilly ground, it really creates an
exciting challenge, especially since permanently blowing, it regularly
changes sense. At disposal: pro shop, rent of material, driving
range, putting green, lessons.

Kiele Golf Course
The
golf course was drawn by Jack Nicklaus. It is said that when he
discovered the ground, the architect found it so in agreement
with his vision of the golf course which he made only a single
modification in the original plan. It contributes to the fact
that Kiele is a golf destination of the most renowned of the Hawaiian
Islands. The golf course twists along the cliffs which line the
ocean, through a luxuriant vegetation and around 40 hectares of
lagoons of crystal clear and fresh water. Difficult and requiring,
the golf course imposes several shots over ravines. The club offers
a complete range of services among which restaurant, shop, Jacuzzi,
sauna, tennis.

Kukuiolono
Golf Course
Created
in 1928 and situated on the heights of a old volcano, this golf
course 9 holes half-private is considered as one of the best kept
secrets of Kauai. Initially created to be the personal golf course
of a sugar tycoon, Walter D. McBryde, Kukuiolono became a public
golf course which is at the same moment fun and very reasonable
talking about rates. The owner was not very good in hitting because
fairways are strangely wide, for the happiness of the beginners
who can please themselves. It possesses fewer water traps than
most of the golf courses of the island, but it is very pleasant
to cross it by foot and offers magnificent points of view, at
the same moment on to the sea and the mountains. At disposal:
driving range, putting green, pro shop, snack bar, Japanese garden.

Golf course 9 holes starting at $10

Mokihana
Course
Drawn
by Jack Nicklaus, it was conceived to contrast at the same moment
with the Kiele course and to be additional to it. Of a Scottish
Links style and having a total length of 6309 metres, it possesses
a slightly hilly plan, open fairways and offers a certain freedom
in the approach. On the other hand, its greens are small, wave-like
and especially well kept. Being more recent than the Kiele course,
it is also easier. Its bunkers are indeed less austere, water
less present in the game and slopes are sweeter. If Kiele has
the vocation to be a "stadium" and to welcome tournaments,
Mokihana is directed to a more wide public while being also rich
in challenges. The club offers a complete range of services.

Golf course 18 holes from $75 to $120 .
