Cavendish Golf Course

During more than 50 years until the 1990s, Cavendish was the only golf course of the small island of Lanai, having for role to amuse the small community which worked in plantations. It twists among 'Norfolk' pines which had been imported to bring a little of humidity to the relatively dry climate of the island. Possessing a rather flat disposition, it possesses long and direct fairways. The wind, which can sometimes blow more hardly than the one of Mauai nevertheless renowned serious, brings its part of challenge to the game. The most difficult hole is the last one, situated on a high green and undergoing directly the wind's assaults.
