CANADA - Muskoka
This
luxurious resort which offers numerous activities is one of
the oldest resorts of the region. Indeed, it opened in 1896
and is actually classified number two by the Score magazine
in the category of the best golf resorts. Spreading out on an
approximately 323 hectare domain situated in the heart of a
magnificent environment, the resort offers a varied set of rooms
and comfortable and completely fitted out suites.
Classified
best new golf course of Canada by Golf Digest in 1997, the club
is situated on a magnificent site surrounded by dense forests
and granite, which offers a spectacular sight on the Joseph
lake's. Thomas McBroom, who drew the course, knew how to take
advantage of the chaotic and difficult arrangement of the ground.
He so has created a strategic course and rich in challenges
with magnificent points of view. Besides the usual golf facilities,
the club disposes a 9 holes, the Academy Course, which is ideal
for the novices and the families, and a gastronomic grill restaurant
which possesses a magnificent wine card. Possibility of organizing
reception and banquets. 
Created
in 1991, the golf course was drawn by Mark O' Meara, the champion
of the Masters & British Open of 1998, marking its debuts
in the design. As he was decided it, the course uses the natural
ability of the ground. It takes place in the middle of a magnificent
rough field, decorated with different rows of trees, with granitic
formings and with changes of rise. The wild aspect of the course
contrasts with the wide fairways, the great bunkers and the
slightly sloping greens, what makes moreover the course at the
same moment rich in challenges and very playable. 
Situated
on the banks of the Muskoka lake's, the resort offers at disposal
rooms and luxurious suites each equipped with a bathtub, fireplace,
private terrace with sight on the Grandview's Bay. Activities,
services: gourmet restaurants, spa, swimming pool, fitness,
tennis, nautical activities. Possibility of organizing banquets.
Placed
at the North of the Joseph's Lake, Thomas McBroom sculptured
here another spectacular course. Surrounded by pine forests,
white birches, fairways are highlighted by deep bunkers and
granitic formings which brings challenge to the game. As the
architect recognized it himself, the use of granite in the design
is totally innovative, aesthetic and strategi, and shows the
beauty of the region. 
The
resort, which was recently renewed, is situated on an approximately
283 hectare domain covered by trees. It offers at disposal lodges
of charm consisted of one or two rooms, of apartments with terrace
on two stages, all completely equipped for a stay of comfort.

Originally
created in 1939 by a Lawyer, the hotel has actually the image
of a "Country Inn” of new England. Built in a robust
granite, and surrounded by hundred-years-old trees, it offers
at disposal rooms and suites all comfort fitted out in independent
and out-of-the-way cottages. Activities, services: conference
room, gourmet restaurant, swimming pool, tennis, volleyball,
ping-pong, badminton, billiard table, horse-riding, nautical
activities, excursions in the nature, …
