Golf
Baie-Saint-Paul
This
golf course is opened to the public since 1972. Although it
is of a mountainous type, it takes place on a relatively short
and uneven ground, which is in all 5282 meters. Its fairways
are tilted and sometimes undergo the effect of important made
uneven. Trees are very present, without tightening the fairways.
Holes have a lack of precision in their drawing, we have on
the contrary a sensation of space on certain places. Of a small
size, oblique and wave-like, greens establish the major golf
course interest. Surrounded by a great landscape, this dynamic
golf course will seduce the enthusiastic players. The club offers
at disposal its services among which a exercise green, a bar
restaurant, a well supplied shop which proposes the rent of
material.
Green fees:
Golf course 18 holes: from $26 to $37, depending on the season.
The club proposes hotel packages.

Le
Club de Golf de Chicoutimi
The
nine first holes of this course were conceived by Howard Watson
in 1955. In 1967 holes were added to form a 18 holes. The architect
would not have imagined at the time that, 50 years later, it
will meet itself in urban zones. Nevertheless it sometimes gives
the illusion to be in the middle of nowhere, due to the relief
of valleys and the presence of dense forests. Chicoutimi is
a part of these traditional courses which ask for returning
there several times to appreciate all the subtleties. The bunkers
distance themselves not so much by their dimension but by the
quantity of sand which they hold and which is impressive. Several
water obstacles spray on half of the holes and require some
attention. A good course, maintained in excellent conditions.

Le Manoir Richelieu Golf Club
Perched
above the St Lawrence's river, the club reflects the beauty
of the Charlevoix's region. It exists since 1923, year from
which the hotel's guests could play on a golf course 9 holes
drawn by the professional golfer Harry Black. The golf course
was established on an agricultural field at some miles from
the hotel. The Canada Steamship Lines company bought the hotel
a short time later. With the increasing popularity of the game
and the charm of the region, the company decided to invest in
a new golf course which would be more accessible and more spectacular.
It developed itself bit by bit and in 2002 the Manor Richelieu
invested $10 millions in a project of expansion which will transform
the club into a first class golf complex.
Actually, the club presents exceptional conditions of game,
specially adapted for a golfic stay in the resort. Fairways
are sometimes narrow and contain a many traps, as well as a
varied landscape. The club house offers at disposal wardrobes
with showers, a pro shop, a driving range, putting green, rent

Club
de golf Lac-St-Jean
Inaugurated during the summer 1984, this 18 holes which was
drawn by Marcel Notz is the most recent golf course in the region.
Possessing the speed of certain mountain golfs while respecting
the natural ability of the site, the ground offers a big variety
of capacities. Helped by the development of natural stones,
departures are level raised. They lead to damaged paths which
offer several levels of uneven and very variable widths. The
course possesses numerous sand and water obstacles and the trees
which do not tolerate the misdemeanours. With a ground difficult
because uneven and the water presents on 11 holes, it is a course
which addresses rather the experimented players. The club offers
at disposal its bar, its dining room, its training ground, a
pro shop which proposes the rent of material, private lesons.

Golf
de Murray Bay
It
is the third oldest club of America. It indeed seems that at
the beginning of 1870s we already played golf in the seigneury
of Murray Bay. In the course of the years the golf became more
and more popular also in July, 1894 35 golfers grouped with
the aim to create a golf club, the Murray Bay Golf Club. A surprising
thing, the ground was shared with the feed animals and rules
had been adapted for the circumstances. Then animals were only
allowed during rest periods, such as on nights during the week
and Sundays. We can say that they maintained the lawn free of
charge, except the greens which were not sprayed in order to
get their attention. This golf course, far from being obsolete,
welcomed in 2002 the competition of the Skins Games of the professional
golfers of Quebec.
Green fees:
Golf course 18 holes: from $27 to $42, according to the season.
